Mad River Glen ski area is a cooperative ski resort located in Fayston, Vermont. It is one of the last unspoiled ski resorts in the Eastern US where the emphasis is on narrow trails with little grooming. It is one of two ski areas in the country to use a single chairlift which makes for uncrowded runs. Mad River Glen is one of the few resorts that has a total ban on snowboarding. The mountain has a well-earned reputation as the Mecca for great telemark skiing. Uncrowded trails, natural snow andgreat tree skiing attrack free-heelers. It's 45 trails still offer plenty of blue and green runs which all descent to a single base area. Lodging and dining options can be found throughout the Mad River Valley.
