Stratton Mountain Resort is located on the northeast slopes of the mountain about 2 hours from Albany, New York. At 3,875 feet it is one of Vermont's largest ski areas. Ski and snowboard on 97 trails over 670 skiable acres. The longest trail Mike's Way is a whopping 3 miles long. 160 acres are designated as gladed terrain. Intermediate and advanced skiers can head to the mountain from 9-10am where a resort host will give a free guided tour to explore the terrain that Stratton has to offer. Up to 5 terrain parks are maintained at Stratton. The parks are of varying size and difficulty designed for learning and progression. The Sun Bowl Activity Center has so much to do. Visit the real frozen wonderland at the ice castle with giant archways, ice thrones and winding mazes. The Tube Park features 4 lanes of lift-service runs open day and evening. Stratton Mountain's Nordic Center features 12km of groomed classic and ski trails plus snowshoeing in the Sunbowl Base Area. View the mountainvia dog sled team, rent a fat bike for peddling through the snow or sign up for an on the mountain snowmobile tour. Ice skating is on the pond in the Village Commons. Choose from several dining experiences some establishments providing the full apres ski environment with live music. Stratton offers a wide variety of lodging with choices throughout the resort.
