Blue Mountain is one of the most popular resorts and has the state's highest vertical at 1,082 feet and 100% of the trails are serviced by snow guns. Camelback located in Tannersville is among the largest ski resorts in the state and is accessible from New York City and northern New Jersey. Jack Frost and Big Boulder combine to be the big two-for-one resorts with Big Boulder focusing on snowboarders.

Jack Frost and Big Boulder combine to be the big two-for-one resorts in the Poconos, near Blakeslee, Pennsylvania. Big Boulder ski area has fifteen different slopes and is considered to have more of a focus for snowboarders, particularly due to its Terrain Parks which cover 50% of the slopes. Big Boulder Lodge offers an outdoor grill, a bar and live musical entertainment. Jack Frost Mountain has twenty-one different slopes of differing difficulty levels and also has 2 terrain parks. Snow tubingis serviced by either a tow rope or conveyor carpet. JFBB resort has two lodges wherein you can sit by the fireplace, enjoy a meal and get WiFi service all with great views of the slopes.

Ski Denton is located in Coudersport, in the heart of Northern Pennsylvania's heavy snow country on US Route 6. Guests staying in the slope chalets enjoy discounted lift tickets during their stay. Ski Denton receives a lot of natural snow each winter - usually over 80 inches annually - which helps draw skiers to its remote location. Most trails are geared towards beginners and intermediates, but the Avalanche trail, with a 66-degree pitch, is the steepest trail in the area.

Alpine Mountain Resort is a family friendly ski area located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. The ski area has 21 trails that are wide but not too steep and is a great hill to learn to ski or snowboard. The lounge at the lodge overlooks the slopes and offers a casual menu plus live entertainment on the weekends. Alpine also has snow tubing, ice skating and snowshoeing.
