Michigan Resorts

Michigan is home to more than 40 ski resorts. A cluster of resorts are located in the Upper Penninsula. Blackjack and Indianhead Mountain Resort have merged and offer an interchangable pass. Boyne Highlands, located in North Michigan has the state's longest ski run. Northern Michigan is home to some of the best cross country skiing in the US.

Located on the Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan, Mount Bohemia is a resort that offers expert skiers and snowboarders real adventure. Most runs are black diamonds as well as double and triple black diamond runs. Backcountry glade runs are accessed by bus. The lake effect snow is dry similar to western resorts and accumulates as powder which is untouched because they do not groom.

Mulligan's Hollow has gone through a few transformations since originally being farmland in the late 1800's. It was used as a Boot Camp for training the Coast Guard during WW2 and then in 1963 the last standing building was converted into a warming hut for the Ski Bowl. In 1973 it was officially dedicated as a park run by volunteers, the City of Grand Haven and the YMCA. Their mission is to make it an affordable area for people to experience the excitement of skiing and snowboarding.
