Travelling

People who are fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine can travel within the United States. If you are not fully vaccinated follow CDC’s recommendations for people who are not fully vaccinated. Visit the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention’s (CDC) extensive guide to traveling safely during the pandemic.

General Rules

  1. If you have been in close contact within the last 14 days with a person confirmed to have covid or you are not feeling well stay home.
  2. Most resorts will require face masks/coverings for all indoor areas including restaurants, lodging, restrooms, retail and rental shops and buses.
  3. Dining capacities have increased but may still require reservations. Masks are to be worn unless seated. At many resort restaurants guests age 12 and over will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccinations to be seated.
  4. Cashless transactions are still the safest way to pay for items. It is recommended to book and pay online in advance. Some resorts will insist on cashless transactions unless otherwise required by local law.
  5. Most lodging guests ages 12 and over will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
  6. Social distancing is highly recommended.
  7. Wash hands frequently or use hand sanitizer.
  8. Most resorts recommend pre-purchasing your lift pass online. Don’t assume you will be able to just arrive and buy a lift pass at the ticket window. They may have closed ticket sales for the day as they are at capacity.
  9. Some resorts will continue to have more tables setup outside, outdoor heaters or even warm up fires.
  10. Reservations continue to be recommended for rental equipment.

Tips For a Successful Season

  1. Plan ahead! Most resorts are running the lifts at full capacity, however, they may still limit the number of skiers using both lodge facilities and mountain lifts. Purchase you tickets as far in advance as possible to ensure you will be able to reserve your spot on the slopes.
  2. Many resorts will require reserving your specific days in advance. Some will give pass holders priority. Some resorts won’t require reservations if you are a pass holders.
  3. If you plan to ski more than 7 or so days consider purchasing a season pass at your favourite resort. If you wish to ski at several destinations over the season consider purchasing a multi mountain pass.
  4. Many resorts will require you to pre-book equipment rentals, something to consider as part of your plan.
  5. If you are using your vehicle as a base camp, bring a folding chair to aid in putting on your boots.
  6. Layer up to accommodate for limited indoor access.
