Illinois Resorts

Chestnut Mountain is Illinois's largest ski resort. It's located near Galena about 3 hours west of Chicago. It's 475 vertical is also the highest skiing in the state. Chestnut Mountain Resort's terrain park, the Farside, is the largest of its kind in the Midwest. Ski Snowstar is a small ski areal located in Andalusia and offers night skiing. There are three small ski areas all located in the Chicagoland area.
