Colorado Resorts

Colorado "Ski Country USA" is considered the nation's number one ski and snowboard destination. Most years, the state's 25 resorts open earlier and stay open later in the season than anyone else (roughly early October to late April). Colorado has some of the largest ski resorts in the nation as well as hidden-gem ski areas, which offer great snow and plenty of space. Colorado also offers the highest altitude lift-served terrain in the country. World renowned Vail and Aspen are rivalled by challenging terrain at Crested Butte, Silverton or Telluride. For tree skiing Steamboat is hard to beat whereas Powderhorn is known for uncrowded slopes. Keystone is part of the Summit County and is located under 2 hours from Denver. The resort is huge with terrain ranging from family friendly runs to steeps, trees, and bowl skiing. As one of North America's top visited resorts, Breckenridge offers 146 trails spanning four interconnected mountains, making Breckenridge Summit County's largest ski area.
