Blue Mountain
Blue Mountain is Ontario's largest year round destination ski resort located in Collingwood about 2 hours north of Toronto. It offers a 720 ft vertical, 36 trails, 14 lifts and a charming on the slopes European style village similar to that of Mont Tremblant and Whistler. Skiers and snowboarders have the option of a modest variety of terrain that interconnects through a network of trails. Being a midsize ski area it's a great place for beginner and intermediate skiers. Blue Mountain's three freestyle zones including the Terrain Park deliver the full range of features from beginner rails to super-pipes. Continue skiing at night on the 22 lit trails. Ski and snowboard with scenic views of the Niagara Escarpment, browse the village boutique stores or enjoy a meal at one of the multitude of dining options. Blue Mountain is routinely ranked as one of the top family-friendly resorts in Canada. There's a lot to do off the slopes at Blue Mountain. Skate on the Mill Pond, take a guided snowshoe tour, fly down the Hike N' Tube or relax in the hot tubs. For a hill thrill take a ride on the Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster.
