Argentina Resorts

When the snow is gone in the north the Andes Mountain Range in Argentina provides more powder for snow sports. The ski season on average runs from June through to October. The country has about fourteen ski resorts across the Andes with three major ski regions... Mendoza, the Lakes District and Patagonia, and Ushuaia to the south.

Caviahue Ski Resort is located at the base of Copahue Volcano, an active volcano within the Copahue Provincial Park. This location offers fantastic views of the Andes Mountains along with hot springs. Prices are lower at this resort because it is more remote. The ski mountain is a more conventional size resort compared to the other Southern Hemisphere ski resorts.

Cerro Castor is a fairly new ski resort opened in 1999 and set on the southern slope of Mount Krund about 25 km from Ushuaia, Argentina. It enjoys a longer season which runs on average from June to October. It is also the most southerly ski resort in the world.

Chapelco Ski Resort is located in the northwest of the Patagonia Argentina, in the province of Neuquen 20km from San Martin de los Andes. Snow sports operations normally run from June to early October. For experts there are tree runs and off piste where avalanche equipment and registering your plans with the ski patrol is mandatory.
